Reading Your Funnel

Look for these patterns:

Healthy Funnel:

  • Gradual decrease through stages

  • All stages green or yellow

  • No dramatic drop-offs

  • Consistent with industry benchmarks

Problem Areas:

  • Red-coded stages (low conversion)

  • Sudden drops between stages

  • Unusually low percentages

  • High bounce or error rates

Finding Bottlenecks

The biggest opportunity is usually the stage with:

  • Largest percentage drop

  • Most absolute users lost

  • Lowest conversion rate

  • Red or yellow color code

Example: If Landing Page β†’ Add to Cart drops from 72% to 29%, that's your biggest opportunity. Fix that stage first for maximum impact.

Running Simulations

To test improvements:

  1. Click Simulation Mode button

  2. Adjust sliders for stages you plan to improve

  3. See predicted impact on final purchases

  4. Calculate potential revenue increase

  5. Prioritize changes by ROI

Example Simulation:

  • Current: 6% final conversion rate = 60 purchases

  • Improve landing page: 72% β†’ 80% (+8%)

  • Result: 7.2% final rate = 72 purchases (+12 purchases)

  • Revenue impact: 12 Γ— $50 AOV = $600 extra revenue
