Updated over 2 months ago

Creating Goals

  1. Click "+ New Goal" button

  2. Fill in details:

    • Title (your objective)

    • Icon (choose emoji like 🎯 πŸ“ˆ πŸ’°)

    • Owner (who's responsible)

    • Deadline (target completion date)

  3. Add Key Results (click "+ Add Key Result"):

    • Name (what you're measuring)

    • Current (starting value)

    • Target (goal value)

    • Unit (dollars, percent, count, etc.)

  4. Save Goal - Appears in your Goals dashboard

Tracking Progress

Visual Indicators:

  • Progress bar - Shows overall completion percentage

  • Status badge - Color-coded health indicator

  • Key result progress - Individual metric tracking

  • Days remaining - Countdown to deadline

Updating Progress:

  1. Click "Update Progress" on any goal

  2. Update current values for each key result

  3. Add progress notes (optional) - document wins or challenges

  4. Save updates

Progress Calculation:

  • Each key result calculates: (current - start) / (target - start) Γ— 100%

  • Overall goal progress = average of all key result progress

  • Status auto-updates based on progress vs time remaining

Status Logic:

  • Completed: All key results reached target

  • On Track: Progress β‰₯ time elapsed (e.g., 50% done, 40% time elapsed = on track)

  • At Risk: Progress slightly behind time (10-25% behind)

  • Behind: Progress significantly behind time (>25% behind)

Editing Goals

Edit Goal Details:

  • Click "Edit" button on goal card

  • Modify title, icon, owner, deadline

  • Add/remove/edit key results

  • Save changes

Best Practices:

  • Update progress weekly to stay accountable

  • Add notes when updating to document context

  • If consistently missing targets, adjust expectations (don't just mark as failed)

  • Celebrate milestones along the way (even partial progress)
