How to Change an Integration’s Account or Credentials

If you need to connect a different account, update credentials, or switch ownership for an existing integration, the integration must be disconnected and reconnected. Vendro does not support swapping accounts or credentials on an active connection. This guide explains when this is required and how to do it safely.

When You Need to Change Accounts or Credentials

You’ll need to disconnect and reconnect an integration if:

  • You want to connect a different account (for example, a new Meta ad account)

  • Account ownership has changed

  • Credentials were revoked, rotated, or expired

  • The wrong account was connected during setup

  • Access permissions were updated and need to be reauthorized

These changes require a fresh authorization flow to ensure Vendro has valid access.

How to Change the Connected Account or Credentials

Changing accounts or credentials follows the same process for all integrations.

Step 1: Disconnect the Existing Integration

  1. Open Integrations in Vendro

  2. Click the integration you want to update

  3. Click Disconnect

  4. Confirm the disconnect action

This removes the existing authorization and stops data syncing.

Step 2: Wait and Refresh

After disconnecting:

  • Wait approximately 10 minutes

  • Refresh the Vendro page

This ensures the previous connection state is fully cleared.

Step 3: Reconnect With the New Account or Credentials

  1. From the Integrations page, select the same integration

  2. Click Connect

  3. Complete the authorization flow using the new account or updated credentials

  4. Approve all required permissions

Once completed, Vendro will establish a new connection using the updated access.

What Happens After Reconnecting

  • The integration status will show as Connected

  • An initial data sync may take up to 24 hours

  • After the initial sync, Vendro will continue syncing data on the integration’s normal schedule

Note: Historical data availability depends on the integration and the connected account.

Switching to a Completely Different Store or Account

In some cases, you may want to disconnect one store or account and connect a completely different one (for example, switching from Store X to Store Y).

Vendro does support this, but it requires assistance from our support team.

What to Know Before Switching

  • The original store or account must be fully reset before a new one can be connected

  • This process cannot be completed self-serve

  • Once switched, data from the original store may no longer sync going forward

How to Switch Stores or Accounts

  1. Contact Vendro Support

  2. Include:

    1. The integration you want to change

    2. The currently connected store or account

    3. The store or account you want to connect instead

  3. Our team will reset the integration so you can reconnect using the new store or account

After the reset is complete, you’ll be able to reconnect the integration using the standard setup flow.

Important Notes

  • Vendro cannot modify credentials or accounts on an existing connection

  • Disconnecting an integration does not delete your Vendro workspace or records

  • Any workflows or dashboards relying on the integration will resume once syncing completes
